The 1963 Chrysler 300J is the lowest production Letter Car
with 400 coupes, 0 convertibles. About 117 Js survive.

It is the last Letter car with ram induction as standard equipment.

The J interior was leather in claret.

The J had a 150 MPH speedometer.

In 63 Chrysler began to use the 4 dr roof panel on 2dr hardtops
giving more rear seat head and foot room. The rear seat height was also raised
and moved rearward to increase leg room and knee room compared to '62.

This car has tinted windshield and side glass, and a manual driver outside rear view mirror. The list price in 1963 was $5,177. Curb weight: 4,420 lbs, 122" wheelbase. There were 50 J's built in black.

Some history on this car:
Papers show Burt Tyler of Rhode Island bought the car from Dwayne Zeleny of Virginia sometime around 1975.
John Sheets of Horseheads, NY owned this car from 1975 to 1983. He bought it from Burt Tyler. John entered the car at our Mt. Pocono meet in 1977 and received a first place with 816 points.
Ray Simcuski of Syracuse, NY bought it from John in 1983. Jack Giltner of Norwich NY had the car for sale in 1991 when it went to Canada with Norm McIntosh.
In 1997 it returned to central NY where it has been in long term storage.
