Golden Lion Grrrages

The 1963 Chrysler 300J is the lowest production Letter Car
with 400 coupes, 0 convertibles. About 117 Js survive.

This car arrived at the garages in October of 2022. It is one of 89 300Js built in the alabaster color. It will be prepped for winter storage and sit for a while as other projects are completed. It is missing the short rams, the ram exhaust manifolds, and the remote brake booster but until we get deeper into it, we won't know which way this restoration is headed -- to return to a J or to be a "Sport 300J".

Pictures from the previous owner in PA

My dad, Joseph Herman, loved Chryslers, especially Chrysler 300's and Chrysler Imperials. The first 300 he owned was a 1956 Chrysler 300B which he reluctantly sold in 1961 and replaced it with a Plymouth Valiant station wagon due to the fact that his young family was growing larger every year. Once his children were grown, his love of old Chryslers became re-ignited and he started his 300 collection. This 1963 300J was his final acquisition. He purchased the J to complete his collection. His goal was to own one of every body style. Unfortunately, due to health issues, he was never able to complete the restoration he had intended for this car. Hopefully, the new owner will complete my father's dream and restore the car to its original glory. Kathy Rickrode
