Golden Lion Grrrages
1962 Chrysler 300 Sport Convertible

These are the pictures from 1995 when I bought the convertible and the 4 door parts car. This is in New Hampshire. In the background is Squam Lake, where they filmed "On Golden Pond".

With a scheduled build date of September 19, 1961, this car was one of the first 1962 Chryslers built. It has the optional 413 CID engine, power windows & seat, red leather interior, and tinted glass. Oddly, it had manual brakes and no windshield washers. Production of 300 Sport convertibles reached 1,971 units for 1962.

The car arrived at Golden Lion Grrrages in 1995, still wearing California plates from 1968.

This has been a ground-up restoration which continues today. The years in California were kind -- there was no rust anywhere. This photo shows the car after new paint.

The original engine and transmission have been rebuilt. Power brakes have been added. A new wiring harness from Greg Leggatt has been installed.
This is the original rear carpet, underside up.
In the upper left corner you can barely see a small tag.

We have a 1964 Imperial convertible disassembled for restoration. There is a tag on the back side of the front carpet:
